*IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICES*

The surgery is extremely busy at present and we are still experiencing some problems with our telephone system.  Please accept our apologies if your call does get cut off, this is an ongoing fault with the system.  We are still working with NHS Digital to try and resolve this.  Please come into the surgery in person if you are able to and you need to speak to us.

DO YOU HAVE ONLINE ACCESS? You can access your health records, book appointments and request repeat prescriptions if you do.  Bring in 2 forms of ID (1 being photo ID) and we can sign you up for it.

Extra evening and weekend appointments available in local area

You can now book routine GP and Nurse appointments in the evening, at weekends and over bank holidays in your local area.

Pre-bookable appointments are available Monday-Friday, 6.30pm-8pm, plus weekends and bank holidays and you can be seen by a GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant.

To book your appointment, contact the surgery during normal opening hours. Please be aware that the appointment may take place at another GP Practice in the area.

If you need urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, you should continue to call NHS 111.

SUPPORT FOR CARERS AT PEACOCK HEALTHCARE

Our drop in sessions for carer advice may be changing.  The contract for the service has now been awarded to another provider.  Until we can provide you with some firm details if you need any advice or support drop in to the surgery and ask to speak to Leah who is our carers champion.  If we can help with forms filling, direct you to the appropriate social care or just be a listening ear, please contact us.

BLOOD TESTS

Due to the high demand on HCA appointments, all routine blood tests are now to be done at Park House by appointment only  Tel 0115 9617616,  with the exception of Warfarin and Rheumatoid Arthritis monitoring. Please make sure that you have your ICE request form to take with you to this appointment otherwise no bloods can be taken.  Thank You.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR ICE REQUEST FORM TO TAKE WITH YOU TO YOUR APPOINTMENT OTHERWISE NO BLOODS CAN BE TAKEN

If you or your family need urgent medical care when the surgery is closed, please dial the surgery telephone on 0115 9580415 where your needs will be assessed and you will either be given advice or arrangements will be made for you to be seen by a health care professional. 

Or if you need help for a health problem urgently, then visit the NHS Urgent Care Centre, Seaton House, off London Road, Nottingham, NG2 4LA (next to the BBC building).  The centre will offer assessment and treatment for health conditions that are urgent but not life threatening such as:

Minor burns and scalds

Minor Head injury with no loss of consciousness

Skin infections and rashes

Suspected broken bones, sprains and strains (X-Ray will be available on site)

Eye Infections and minor eye injuries

No appointment is needed; just drop in between 7am and 9pm, 365 days a year.
