*IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICES*

The surgery is extremely busy at present and we are still experiencing some problems with our telephone system.  Please accept our apologies if your call does get cut off, this is an ongoing fault with the system.  We are still working with NHS Digital to try and resolve this.  Please come into the surgery in person if you are able to and you need to speak to us.

DO YOU HAVE ONLINE ACCESS? You can access your health records, book appointments and request repeat prescriptions if you do.  Bring in 2 forms of ID (1 being photo ID) and we can sign you up for it.

Extra evening and weekend appointments available in local area

You can now book routine GP and Nurse appointments in the evening, at weekends and over bank holidays in your local area.

Pre-bookable appointments are available Monday-Friday, 6.30pm-8pm, plus weekends and bank holidays and you can be seen by a GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant.

To book your appointment, contact the surgery during normal opening hours. Please be aware that the appointment may take place at another GP Practice in the area.

If you need urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, you should continue to call NHS 111.

SUPPORT FOR CARERS AT PEACOCK HEALTHCARE

Our drop in sessions for carer advice may be changing.  The contract for the service has now been awarded to another provider.  Until we can provide you with some firm details if you need any advice or support drop in to the surgery and ask to speak to Leah who is our carers champion.  If we can help with forms filling, direct you to the appropriate social care or just be a listening ear, please contact us.

BLOOD TESTS

Due to the high demand on HCA appointments, all routine blood tests are now to be done at Park House by appointment only  Tel 0115 9617616,  with the exception of Warfarin and Rheumatoid Arthritis monitoring. Please make sure that you have your ICE request form to take with you to this appointment otherwise no bloods can be taken.  Thank You.

Please call after 12noon to inquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom the test relates unless that person has given written prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results with the practice and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so or have any concerns.

Please note, if you have had tests at another healthcare provider which were not requested by us we will not expedite these on your behalf.  This is the patients responsibility to contact the healthcare professional who made the request to see if the results have been viewed and can then be shared with us.

At present X-ray results are taking approximately 3 weeks to get sent back to the surgery.
